We have all likely experienced a case of the Sunday night-blues at the close of one weekend or another. It is totally normal! However, there are many ways to have a super productive yet relaxing Sunday that leaves you feeling refreshed and ready for the beginning of a new week. Sundays don’t have to be all doom and gloom, just remember how incredible it is to be alive!
Here is your perfect Sunday itinerary to ensure that you make Sunday the BEST day of your entire week.
9:00am – Wake Up!
Time to jump out of bed with some enthusiasm! It’s time to start your day! On a Sunday I like to sleep in, so 9 o’clock is a good time for me, as on most days I am up at around 7.30am. This may be too early for some of you, I get that! So choose a time that allows you an extended sleep (but not too long)!
9:10am – Release those Endorphins
The best way to start your day is with some exercise as soon as you wake up. A release of endorphins early in the day sets you up with a positive and clear mindset to carry throughout the day. For me, I love following along on a yoga or cardio session on Youtube. Alternatively, you can choose to head outside for a run or to the gym for a quick 20-30 minute session.
9:45am – Shower and Loungewear
Time to hit the shower and get into your most comfortable track pants and cosy jumper. You know, your absolute favourite ones (we all have our number ones), get into those!
10:00am – Pancakes or Waffles?
Now it is time for breakfast, so excited! Sundays are perfect for a bit of cooking and indulging in a meal that you normally wouldn’t have time for during the week. Are you a pancakes or waffles person? How about some baked eggs? Check out my favourite, http://iamafoodblog.com for some recipe ideas, they are seriously good!
10:00am – YOU time
For the rest of the morning, spend time on yourself. Spend some time working on something that you love, whether it would be working on your blog or side hustle or passion project. Whatever it may be, work on it and be productive during this time! Our mornings are the best time for getting things done.
1:00pm – Lunch & Ice Coffees Await…
Head out to lunch with a friend or loved one. Spending time with your friends is so important. Always make time to catch up with the important people in your life. Most importantly, don’t forget to order an coconut milk ice coffee too, because they are literally AMAZING!
3:00pm – Go for a Walk
Enjoy the outdoors, hopefully it is a sunny day for you! Stop and smell the roses and all that, you know?!
4:00pm – Pamper Time!
One of my absolute favourite things to do on a Sunday (or any day!) is a pamper session because taking time for self-care leaves you feeling super relaxed and happy! I like to draw a bath and toss in a Lush bath bomb (best!), grab a book and just chiiiiiill! Afterwards, pop on a face mask and paint your nails with the colour you are feeling that day.
6:30pm – Enjoy a Healthy Home-cooked Meal
Whip up something healthy and delicious, perhaps a quinoa salad with some turkey meatballs or falafel? I love eating my dinner and watching my favourite Youtubers new videos or popping on an episode of Friends.
9.45pm – Bed Time!
Get to bed early! Even if you don’t fall asleep at this time, it is best to slowly start putting away all your technology and grab a book to get lost in. You will get tired in no time, trust me!
And that’s it, that’s your easy and sure-fire way to make Sunday the best day of your week. An important point to note is one thing that I don’t do on Sunday, which is “get ready” for the week. By that I mean, getting my bag, outfit and whatever else I need ready for Monday. This is something that I will actually do on Thursday night. That way I don’t have to think about it for the WHOLE. ENTIRE. WEEKEND. #lifehack
I also filmed a Youtube video showing you my Weekend Morning Routine. Be sure to check it out!
