Earlier this month I attended VAMFF. I love going to Fashion Week and immersing myself in the shows, the street style and the general buzz and excitement outside the venues. Big thanks to AMPR for granting me with media access to three shows this year.
On Sunday, I kicked off the start of Fashion Week by attending the Gorman show. It was held outside in a large park area. The day was super hot with little to no wind so I immediately regretted my decision to wear a blazer. Along with the tan blazer I quickly took off when I found my seat, I wore some cut off Levis shorts and a beige halter crop top. For shoes, I chose my ultimate favourites, Dr Marten Jadon boots. The Gorman show included some incredible looks and amazing styling. The prints they chose for this collection were on point and very true to the brand.
Next up was Wednesday’s show. I was dying to wear my knee high boots, so I chose my snakeskin ones which I am currently obsessed with!! Along with the boots I chose a white mini skirt and a black turtleneck. I have really been getting into turtlenecks lately! One of my favourite ways to style them is with crazy amount of layered necklaces over the top. The show included some amazing designers including Manning Cartell, AJE, Acler and Viktoria and Woods. I particularly loved the AJE collection, the colours and materials used were just stunning!
I attended my final show for the week on Thursday. It was the National Graduate showcase which featured the best student collections for the year. I love this show so much as the collections and pieces are always super creative and fun!
